Colorado State History

The Native Americans that are native to Colorado are the Shoshone Tribe, the Apache Nation, the Kiowa tribe, the Comanche tribe, and the Cheyanne tribe. Those are just some tribes. The land that is Colorado was acquired in the Louisiana Purchase, the Western portion in 1848 through the treaty and the Guadalupe Hidalgo. Some of the first settlers were the Spanish conquistadors and the big game hunters, or you could call them the Paledoindians. Colorado became a state on August 1, 1876. Colorado was the 38th state. Some important events that  happened in Colorado was when the Santa Fe trail  opened. That is the history of Colorado.
